Work-At-Home Scams

People are getting onto the internet bandwagon with the many work-at-home offers that promise huge profits with little effort. If the offer is too good to be true, it most probably is and you might even lose more than you invest in time and effort. Avoid sites that offer seemingly free memberships but charge in the end for educational materials for they are mostly scams. More important, never provide personal and financial information over the internet unless you are absolutely sure that the one on the other end can be trusted.
As they say, nothing is sacred on the internet so if you do decide to work at home, invest on intrusion protection systems to prevent viruses, worms and the many other nasties from getting into your computer stealing information as they do so. It takes a fresh computer connected to the internet an average of fifteen minutes to get an infection so don’t take it lightly.
