How do you stand out in a job search?

One, instead of just being content with a resume or curriculum vitae posted in a job search website, provide links to an online portfolio you make. If you are a writer, you can show sample of your previous work and actual links to published works on the net. If you’re a graphics artist, the same applies. Having an online portfolio gives substance to the entries in your resume, and gives employers something more to work with.

You can also opt to post a video resume. You simply act like you are in an interview (with matching attire) and cite all the qualifications you have for the job and why you feel that you are the right person for it.
